They say the recent conduct of the 2025 UTME represents a “catastrophic institutional failure.”
Caucus leader Igariwey Enwo issued a strong-worded statement on the 19th of May, 2025.
He condemned the Board for technical errors that affected nearly 380,000 candidates, now forced to resit the exam.
Key concerns raised include:
• JAMB’s poor communication with candidates
• Clashes between the rescheduled UTME and ongoing WAEC exams
• Less than 48 hours’ notice given for the retake
• Inadequate response from the exam body
The lawmakers demanded:
• Total cancellation of the 2025 UTME
• A new date after WAEC and NECO exams
• Suspension of officials in charge of JAMB’s digital and logistics units
