Power Surge: Tinubu Adds 2000MW to Nigeria’s Grid in Two Years

Speaking during an interview with Channels Television on Friday, Abdullahi revealed that the current government has added 2000 megawatts to the national power supply.

According to him, Nigeria had struggled with just 4000MW for more than a century before the recent progress.

“The first generation of electricity in Nigeria started in 1896 or thereabouts. If for 127 years we have been able to generate only 4000 megawatts. Then, the president came to power and gave us an extra 2000 megawatts to the 4000 MW.

That is to say, he may double it before the end of his tenure and may triple it if given another term,” he stated.
