Former president of the Nigerian Bar Association (NBA), Olisa Agbakoba, has commended President Bola Tinubu for honouring some heroes of the June 12 democracy struggle with national awards.
Papers News recalls that Tinubu, during his Democracy Day speech at the joint session of the National Assembly on Thursday, honoured activists, journalists, and scholars who spoke vociferously against the military government at the time.
In an interview on Channels Television’s Politics Today, Agbakoba, who was one of the activists who led the June 12 struggle, said the list of those to be honoured is not yet complete.
