The Governor of Benue State, Hyacinth Alia, has disclosed that there are some political undertones to the insecurity ravaging communities in the state.
Speaking on Tuesday during a programme titled Focus Nigeria, which was aired on African Independent Television (AIT), Governor Alia said the non-cooperation of some major stakeholders, as well as the disunity within the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Benue, are responsible for some of the challenges confronting the state.
Papers News reports that Benue State has been on the national stage in recent days following the massacre of several innocent residents and destruction of properties by terrorists and bandits operating in the state.
