A former Chief Security Officer to the late Head of State, General Sani Abacha, Major Hamza Al-Mustapha (retd), has declared his intention to contest the 2027 presidential election on the platform of the Social Democratic Party (SDP).
Papers News reports that the former Army Officer made the declaration on Tuesday during a strategic engagement with party leaders and supporters in Minna, the Niger State capital.
Addressing the gathering, the retired army officer expressed concern over the current state of the nation, stressing that he is prepared to lead Nigeria with integrity and a renewed vision.
