The 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party (LP), Peter Obi, has stated that Nigeria cannot and will not be built on excuses but on the sacrifices, courage, and responsibility of true leaders.
Papers News reports that Peter Obi made the remark while criticising President Bola Tinubu over his failure to reach the Yelwata community during his visit to Benue state following a recent bandit attack.
In a post via 𝕏 on Friday, June 2025, the former Governor of Anambra State said the excuse of bad roads, which stopped Tinubu from reaching Yelwata, was unacceptable, especially since he had already made it to the state.
