United States President, Donald Trump, has lashed out at both Israel and Iran following the breakdown of a ceasefire agreement he brokered between the two longtime rivals, warning that further military action would breach the truce and inflame tensions.
Papers News reports that Trump, who announced the staggered ceasefire late Monday, had declared that both nations had “fully agreed” to halt hostilities, calling the development a breakthrough after what he described as a “12-day war.”
But just hours after the ceasefire was scheduled to take effect on Tuesday, the Israeli government accused Iran of violating the terms, a claim Tehran quickly denied, sparking renewed uncertainty over the fragile truce.
