Vice-President Kashim Shettima has departed Abuja for Addis Ababa, Ethiopia, on an official state visit aimed at strengthening Nigeria’s bilateral relations with the East African nation.
The trip, according to the Senior Special Assistant to the President on Media & Communications (Office of the Vice President), Stanley Nkwocha, is at the invitation of Prime Minister Abiy Ahmed Ali of Ethiopia.
During the visit, Vice-President Shettima is expected to participate in the official launch of Ethiopia’s Green Legacy Programme, a major environmental campaign initiated by the Ethiopian government to combat deforestation and climate change.
