The Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) has announced that 16 bye-elections will be conducted across 12 states on August 16, 2025.
Papers News reports that the Chairman of the commission, Mahmood Yakubu, made the disclosure on Thursday during the second regular consultative meeting with political parties held in Abuja.
Yakubu stated that a total of 30,451 officials would be deployed nationwide for the exercise, underscoring the Commission’s readiness to ensure smooth electoral processes.
