Akpabio is leading Nigeria’s delegation to the high-level parliamentary gathering, accompanied by Senators Asuquo Ekpenyong, Ibrahim Dankwambo, and Titus Zam—all members of the Senate Committee on Inter-Parliamentary Affairs.
The Senate President made this known in a statement accompanied by photos shared on his Facebook page on Saturday.
Upon his arrival, Akpabio was received by Dr. Dionysia-Theodora Avgerinopoulou, a distinguished member of the Hellenic Parliament renowned for her advocacy on climate and environmental issues in the Mediterranean region.
The IPU meeting is expected to focus on enhancing parliamentary collaboration among member states and tackling global challenges such as sustainable development and the promotion of democratic governance.
