The Minister of Education, Maruf Olatunji Alausa, says the Bridging Research, Innovation, Development and Global Engagement (BRIDGE) initiative is a key step in harnessing the skills of Nigerian professionals in the diaspora to drive growth in the country’s education and health sectors.
The Minister shared his admiration for the initiative when he received the Chairman/CEO of Nigerians in Diaspora Commission (NiDCOM), Abike Dabiri-Erewa, during a strategic meeting on strengthening diaspora engagement.
He stated that the platform is designed to unify Nigeria’s Educational Data for a brighter future through partnerships, logistical support, and track the impact of diaspora contributions, especially in technical and vocational education, STEM+M (Sciences, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics and Medical Sciences) fields.
