Again, Wike Denies Allocating Abuja Lands to Children

Media reports surfaced on Tuesday, July 1 that Jordan Wike, the 25-year-old son of FCT Minister Nyesom Wike, was allegedly allocated at least 1,740 hectares of land in Abuja, valued at roughly $2.85 billion, by his father’s office.

This mirrors a previous report which also alleged that his younger brother, Joaquin Wike, received 2,082 hectares worth $3.6 billion.

In a statement issued on Tuesday, Olayinka described the claims as “sponsored blackmail” and said they were part of a sustained campaign to smear the image of the FCT Minister.

“As usual, this sponsored blackmail has failed,” he stated, adding that “nothing will stop him from continuing with his developmental efforts in the FCT in accordance with President Bola Tinubu’s Renewed Hope agenda.”
