The order was delivered by Vice President Kashim Shettima at the 2025 Nigerian Army Day Celebration (NADCEL), held on Sunday, July 6, at Murtala Square in Kaduna.
“To the officers and soldiers of the Nigerian Army, I say this with absolute clarity: the time to rise is now,” Shettima declared on behalf of the president.
“You have my full authorisation and the trust of the Nigerian people to confront and defeat those who seek to undermine our nation,” Tinubu said. “You are my confidence, my support, and my prayers.”
He warned that insurgency, terrorism, banditry, and separatist agitations now pose serious threats to the country’s survival and should no longer be seen as minor disruptions.
