Edo State Governor, Monday Okpebholo, has described the Supreme Court’s verdict affirming him as the duly elected governor as a “landmark judgment” that puts a final seal on the legal tussles surrounding the 2024 governorship election.
In a statement issued by his Chief Press Secretary, Fred Itua, on Thursday, the governor said the apex court’s ruling signified more than just a legal triumph, it reaffirmed the collective will of the Edo people.
The statement reads, “The Supreme Court of Nigeria today delivered a landmark judgment affirming Senator Monday Okpebholo as the duly elected Governor of Edo State, bringing to a conclusive end all legal contestations arising from the 2024 Governorship Election.”
