The Chief of Staff to President Bola Tinubu, Femi Gbajabiamila, has described the formation of an opposition coalition towards the 2027 elections as a welcome development.
Speaking on Saturday after casting his vote in the Lagos State local government election, Gbajabiamila submitted that a credible opposition is needed to prevent Nigeria from slipping into a one-party state.
The former House of Representatives Speaker, however, hinted that the coalition may not survive the test of time, arguing that it is not the first time that a coalition has come together in the country.
