According to security analyst Zagazola Makama, who posted the details on his X handle on Wednesday, July 16, the attack occurred early on Tuesday morning, July 15, around 6:45 a.m., when the assailants stormed the quiet community and opened fire on unsuspecting residents.
Makama said security sources confirmed that joint troops of Operation Safe Haven, in collaboration with other agencies, swiftly responded to the incident.

“On arrival, 15 lifeless bodies were recovered, while four other victims with varying degrees of gunshot wounds were evacuated to the General Hospital in Riyom for treatment,” he wrote.
