A Zamfara State High Court sitting in Gusau has issued an interim injunction restraining Bashar Aliyu from presenting himself as Speaker of the Zamfara State House of Assembly.
Papers News reports that the order, granted by Justice Muhammad Gusau, also bars eight others from performing legislative functions or acting as members of the Assembly pending the determination of a motion before the court.
The ruling followed a motion filed by the Zamfara State House of Assembly on June 23, 2025, seeking to stop the disputed lawmakers from conducting legislative activities.
