Acting Director of Army Public Relations, Lieutenant Colonel Appolonia Anele, shared the development in a statement issued on Thursday, the 24th of July, 2025, in Abuja.
The footage, which first appeared on social media before being picked up by several news outlets, shows uniformed men displaying food items they claimed were supplied by military authorities.
Although the full context and authenticity of the video are still being verified, the Army Chief said the matter is being taken seriously.
He assured that the findings from the inquiry will be made available to the public in line with the army’s principles of openness and responsibility.
