Labour Party’s presidential flagbearer in the 2023 general elections, Peter Obi, has expressed deep grief over the passing of Hon. Clarita Ogar, the party’s former House of Representatives candidate for Yala/Ogoja federal constituency.
In a tribute posted on his official 𝕏 account, Obi eulogised Clarita Ogar as a brave and unwavering advocate for justice and national transformation, describing her demise as a profound loss to the Obidient movement and Nigeria at large.
“With a weighty heart, on behalf of the entire Obidient family, I regret to announce the untimely passing of our dear sister and comrade, Hon. Clarita Ogar,” Obi wrote. “She was the Labour Party House of Representatives candidate for Yala/Ogoja in the 2023 General elections.”
