Mother, Son Survive After SUV Rolls Three Times on Lagos Expressway
The vehicle, a Lexus SUV with plate number KJA 39 JT, was heading from Isheri toward Igando when it suddenly lost control, rolling over three times before coming to a stop amid busy morning traffic.
LASTMA operatives in the area responded swiftly, pulling the mother and son from the wreckage. Both sustained visible bruises and mild injuries but survived what could easily have been a fatal crash. Officers of the Nigeria Police Force from the Igando Division supported the operation by managing crowds and securing the scene.
LASTMA General Manager Olalekan Bakare-Oki said he was relieved no lives were lost and wished the mother and son a quick recovery. He used the opportunity to urge motorists to respect speed limits and carry out regular vehicle checks — particularly on brakes — before setting out on any journey.
