NAFDAC Shuts Down 18 Warehouses Stocked With Expired Products in Niger

The National Agency for Food and Drug Administration and Control (NAFDAC) said its Investigation and Enforcement team acted on credible intelligence before descending on the facilities located around Ndazabo White House along Minna Road, behind Bida Modern Market.

Spokesperson Olusayo Akintola confirmed that the raided warehouses contained expired non-alcoholic beverages, dairy milk, candies, bottled water, and pasta with a combined estimated value of N100 million. Alarmingly, a significant portion of the goods had already been packaged and was ready for distribution — including 80,000 packets of expired non-alcoholic drinks, 5,000 packets of dairy milk, 16,000 packets of bottled water, and 28 cartons of pasta, among other products.

The company’s Managing Director, Alhaji Yusuf Nadabo, was subsequently invited for questioning and reportedly acknowledged ownership of the expired goods during interrogation.
