Access Holdings Plc Appoints Emeka Anthony Ogbechie as Chief Financial Officer

Access Holdings Plc has announced the appointment of Mr. Emeka Anthony Ogbechie as its new Chief Financial Officer, effective February 23, 2026.

The appointment was approved by the Board of Directors and forms part of the company’s broader strategy to consolidate its financial architecture following recent expansion initiatives across banking and non-banking subsidiaries.

Strategic Leadership Appointment

Mr. Ogbechie joins Access Holdings with over two decades of experience in financial services spanning the United Kingdom, West Africa, and East Africa.

His professional background covers banking, private equity, and investment management — sectors central to Access Holdings’ diversified business model.

He previously served as Group Chief Financial Officer at African Capital Alliance and United Capital Plc. He also held board-level roles as Non-Executive Director at Union Bank of Nigeria Plc and Cornerstone Insurance Plc.

In East Africa, he served as Group Finance Director at Equity Bank Kenya Limited.

The breadth of his experience signals a deliberate focus by Access Holdings on strengthening group-wide financial integration, treasury optimisation, and capital efficiency as the institution continues its pan-African expansion drive.

Academic and Professional Credentials

Mr. Ogbechie holds a Master of Business Administration from INSEAD and a Master of Science in Management from the London School of Economics.

He is a Fellow of both the Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales and the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Nigeria.

His professional background combines global financial structuring expertise with regional market knowledge, positioning him to oversee group-level balance sheet strategy, risk calibration, and performance monitoring across subsidiaries.
