Aide Gives Update On El-Rufai’s Detention In ICPC Custody
The media aide to former governor of Kaduna State, Nasir El-Rufai, Muyiwa Adekeye, has said his principal has remained in the custody of the Independent Corrupt Practices and Other Related Offences Commission (ICPC) for 17 days.
Papers News reports that Adekeye, in a statement issued on Thursday, said that federal government agencies have held El-Rufai since he voluntarily reported to the office of the Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) on February 16, 2026, before he was later transferred to the ICPC on the night of February 18.
