Eid-el-Fitr: Rep. Bichi calls for unity, prayers for Nigeria

The lawmaker representing Bichi Federal Constituency and Chairman, House Committee on Appropriation, Abubakar Kabir-Bichi, has felicitated with Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on the occasion of Eid-el-Fitr.

In a statement issued on Friday, Mr Bichi said Eid-el-Fitr marks the successful completion of Ramadan, a period dedicated to fasting, prayer, sacrifice and spiritual reflection.

He urged Muslim faithful to sustain the divine values of honesty, compassion, family commitment and love for one another beyond the holy month.

The lawmaker also called on Nigerians, irrespective of religious or ethnic differences, to remain committed to peace, tolerance and mutual coexistence, stressing that unity is key to the nation’s progress.

“While I congratulate Muslims across Nigeria and beyond on this auspicious occasion of Eid-el-Fitr, I urge Nigerians, particularly Muslim faithful, to use this opportunity to pray for our dear nation,” he said.

Mr Bichi noted that the core lessons of Ramadan include fear of Allah, love for one another, empathy and care for the less privileged.

He further urged prayers for the nation’s leaders, including President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and Kano State Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, asking Allah to grant them wisdom, strength and the ability to deliver on their mandates in line with the Renewed Hope Agenda.

The lawmaker expressed appreciation to the people of Bichi Federal Constituency for their continued support, prayers and confidence in his leadership.

He reaffirmed his commitment to effective representation, responsive leadership and the delivery of democratic dividends to improve the welfare of his constituents.

“Happy Eid-el-Fitr to all Muslim faithful. May Allah accept our ibadah. Amin,” he added.
