Emirates Airlines and Air Peace have activated a bilateral interline agreement that is expected to strengthen tourism flows and business travel between Africa, the United Arab Emirates, and the United Kingdom, as both carriers expand network connectivity and improve passenger convenience.
Under the arrangement, passengers can now travel across selected routes operated by both airlines on a single ticket, with baggage checked through to final destinations. The structure simplifies travel for both leisure and corporate travellers, reducing transit friction and expanding route options across West and Central Africa.
The agreement enables Emirates passengers to access additional regional destinations on Air Peace’s network, including Banjul and Dakar via Abidjan, as well as Freetown and Monrovia via Accra, in addition to multiple Nigerian cities already served through the partnership.
In return, Air Peace gains improved access to Emirates’ global network via its Dubai hub, linking African travellers to major international destinations, including key airports in London.
Industry analysts say the expanded connectivity is likely to support tourism growth, particularly by making secondary African cities more accessible to international visitors. Easier connections and through-ticketing are expected to lower travel barriers for tourists seeking multi-destination itineraries across the region.
The partnership is also expected to benefit business travel, especially for companies operating across West Africa, Europe, and the Middle East.
