Four Palestinians were injured in an attack by extremist Israeli settlers south of Bethlehem in the occupied West Bank on Saturday morning.
Settlers opened fire on residents of the village of Kisan during the raid, the head of the village council told Palestinian news agency WAFA.
Two men sustained gunshot wounds while two others were physically beaten, he said.
They also seized 100 sheep belonging to one of the village’s residents, he added.
The Palestinian Red Crescent confirmed it had treated two men who were brought to hospital with gunshot wounds.
The village’s 600 residents frequently come under attack by settlers, who have established outposts and settlements in the area.
Settler violence against Palestinians in the West Bank has surged since Israel launched its war on Gaza in October 2023.
More than 800 Palestinians have been displaced due to settler attacks this year alone, according to UN data.
At least 86 instances of settler violence were documented by the UN between 3-16 February, leading to the displacement of 146 Palestinians and the injury of 64.
