Frank Mba Retires After 34 Years as PSC Screens, Seven AIGs for DIG Promotion

His voluntary retirement comes amid a broader leadership transition within the police hierarchy following the recent exit of former Inspector-General of Police Kayode Egbetokun and the appointment of Olatunji Rilwan Disu as the new head of the force.

Meanwhile, the Police Service Commission (PSC) has invited seven Assistant Inspectors-General of Police (AIGs) for promotion interviews as part of the process to fill vacant positions at the rank of Deputy Inspector-General of Police (DIG). The selected officers are expected to join the Force Management Team that will work closely with the new Inspector-General.

Those invited for the promotion screening include Margareth Ochalla, Kenechukwu Onwuemelie, Ishiaku Mohammed, Zacharia Fera Achinyan, Zango Ibrahim Baba, Mohammed Abdul Sulaiman and Umar Shehu Nadada. The commission said the interviews will take place at its headquarters on Friday.
