According to Ag. ACP Benjamin Hundeyin, Force Public Relations Officer, the inaugural conference is designed to synchronize operational directives, reinforce command responsibility, and set clear performance benchmarks for the IGP’s administration.
Highlighting his commitment to intelligence-led, evidence-based, and technology-driven policing, the IGP emphasized improved coordination, enhanced intelligence capabilities, and investment in modern investigative tools as key pillars of his leadership approach.
A key highlight of the conference was the formal inauguration of the Steering Committee on the Establishment of State Police. IGP Disu described the initiative as timely and strategic, given the evolving security landscape across Nigeria. He stressed that State Police is intended to complement—not replace—the Nigeria Police Force, strengthening community-oriented policing and national security governance.
