The Lagos State Government has apprehended an individual for allegedly dumping refuse on a public road in Lagos.
The development was disclosed by the Lagos State Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, in a post shared on his X (formerly Twitter) page on Monday.
According to Wahab, the suspect was arrested during an early morning patrol by enforcement officers.
โDuring our early morning patrol today, the individual seen in the video was apprehended for dumping refuse on the road.
โThe suspect will be charged in accordance with the environmental laws of Lagos State. We will continue to enforce these laws to ensure compliance and maintain a clean and orderly environment.โ
Wahab noted that the action is part of ongoing efforts to enforce environmental laws and maintain sanitation across the state.
