Shonubi made the call while distributing free application forms to beneficiaries across Ikorodu and neighbouring communities. According to a statement released on Monday, the initiative was fully funded by the entrepreneur to relieve families struggling with the cost of registering for the Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination (UTME).
Explaining the motivation behind the intervention, Shonubi stressed that investing in education remains one of the most effective ways to secure the future of any society. He said the sponsorship was driven by compassion and a firm belief in the transformative power of learning.
“Our young people hold the future of this community. When financial challenges threaten their dreams, we must step in. This is more than paying for examination forms; it is about restoring confidence and sustaining hope,” he said, noting that JAMB registration fees often pose a significant hurdle for many families.
