Lagos Gallery Weekend Returns for Third Edition with “Art for All” Theme
Scheduled from March 5 to 8, 2026, the four-day citywide festival will unite twenty galleries across Lagos under the theme “Art for All” — a deliberate push to tear down the walls between the art world and the general public. From the bustling streets of Yaba to the upscale corridors of Ikoyi, Victoria Island, and Lekki, visitors can expect a curated journey through some of the city’s most dynamic creative spaces.
Participating venues include Alliance Française De Lagos, Nike Art Gallery, Yemisi Shyllon Museum, Alexis Galleries, Kokopelli Gallery, NURU Gallery, Bloom Art Lagos, and more than a dozen others spread across four dedicated routes.
The theme was born from an unexpected moment of connection at last year’s edition. “We noticed that even bus drivers felt the spark,” Alaibe recalled, describing how the event’s energy spread far beyond gallery walls. This year, those same bus drivers will play an active role, ferrying visitors between locations and creating an economic ripple effect alongside the cultural one.
