Lagos State Announces Traffic Diversion Ahead of Ogunnusi Road Reconstruction in Ikeja

The Lagos State Government has announced a traffic diversion plan in preparation for the commencement of Phase I reconstruction and expansion works on Ogunnusi Road in Ikeja Local Government Area, beginning March 6, 2026.

The announcement was contained in a statement signed electronically by the Commissioner for Transportation, Oluwaseun Osiyemi. He advised motorists using the Ojodu-Berger to Ijaye/Agege corridor to plan their journeys in advance, as parts of the road will be temporarily closed during the construction period.

According to Osiyemi, the project is part of a broader upgrade of the 9-kilometre dual carriageway stretching from Ojodu-Berger Bus Stop to Mobil Filling Station Junction, covering both inbound and outbound lanes.
