Though a former representative of Kogi West Senatorial District, Dino Melaye, described Peter Obi as a fantastic individual, he offered reasons why he cannot become Nigeria’s president in 2027.
Melaye, who had also served in the House of Representatives, stated this position on a programme on Channels Television.
He said the 2023 presidential candidate of the Labour Party lacks the ability to unify Nigeria.
He said: “But let me even tell you, Peter Obi is a fantastic Nigerian.
“I have tremendous respect for him, and I’ve said it before, he is a fantastic person.
“But this is not his time to be president.”
