The President of the United States, Donald Trump, on Sunday claimed that American military forces had “destroyed and sunk” no fewer than nine naval ships belonging to Iran, further escalating tensions between the two countries.
Trump made the disclosure in a post on his verified Facebook page, stating that the strikes had significantly weakened Iran’s naval capabilities.
