OneHealth unveils Free Clinical Excellence programme for frontline health professionals in Nigeria
OneHealth Pharmacy, a foremost online pharmacy network in Nigeria, has launchd OneHealth ClinIQ Clinical Excellence Programme, a free, four-week blended training programme designed to equip frontline health professionals with the clinical framework they need to operate at the highest level of community-based care.
Oladotun Ola-Egbinola, the Public Relations Manager said in a statement that the OneHealth ClinIQ is delivered through the Màámi Initiative, a maternal and sexual health campaign aimed at improving access and health outcomes for Nigerian women, and it is open to registered pharmacists, nurses, midwives, care workers, community health workers, and final-year health science students across Nigeria.
The programme, according to her is free to access and selective by design, with a cohort size of about 100 participants.
“Nigeria’s frontline health professionals handle emergencies, counsel patients, and make critical clinical decisions daily, often without structured training that matches what they face on the ground. So Onehealth is bridging this gap with the Clinical Excellence Programme”, said Ola-Egbinola.
OneHealth ClinIQ runs across four structured weeks combining live virtual sessions, workbook assignments, and peer learning, culminating in a physical conference and certification ceremony in Lagos. The curriculum is aimed at exposing participants to a wide range of topics including: Safe Dispensing and Standardised Workflows, Pharmacy Operations, Logistics and Escalation, Maternal Health Emergencies and Red Flags, and Maternal Mental Health and Postpartum Depression.
“Nigeria’s frontline health professionals are the first point of care and among the last to receive structured clinical training proportional to what they face,” said Chiamaka Onwuegbuman, Senior Marketing Manager, OneHealth in the statement. “The clinical excellence programme through ClinIQ exists to change that, with a curriculum built for this healthcare system, these communities, and these realities.”
According to her, live sessions are facilitated by expert partners and selected participants receive access to a resource library, workbook, and entry into a growing network of ClinIQ-certified health professionals, all at no cost.
