Tinubu Pledges Automatic Tickets to Lawmakers, Stands Firm on State Police
Tinubu made the pledge during an interfaith breaking of fast hosted at the State House for House members, acknowledging that while some constituencies operate rotational arrangements for their representatives, he would “do everything within the party’s powers” to ensure the current crop of lawmakers secures another term.
The assurance mirrors a similar meeting he had earlier held with Senate members, signaling a deliberate effort to consolidate legislative support ahead of the next election cycle.
“It was initially very difficult for many to understand the direction of my thinking, but I am glad we are out of the dark tunnel,” Tinubu said, adding that the tension that once surrounded his economic reforms had since subsided.
