Barely 72 hours after the Ibadan summit of opposition political party leaders, one of the leading aspirants of the African Democratic Congress, ADC, Peter Obi, held a close door meeting with Gov. Seyi Makinde in Ibadan.
Briefing newsmen at the end of the meeting on Monday in Ibadan, Obi said the meeting was “on the coalition,the 2027 election, and about the overall wellbeing of Nigeria”.
He said that discussions with Makinde dwelt on how better Nigeria could be built.
Mr Obi said that with the coalition of opposition political parties, Nigerians should expect a better Nigeria, a more united, secure and progressive Nigeria.
“A country where we are going to move the country from consumption to production and get our people employed”.
On the Obi’s entourage were former governor of Ebonyi State, Dr Sam Egwu; Sen. Ben Obi and Chief Alli Odefa.
Recall that notable opposition political party leaders on Saturday in Ibadan held a summit where they agreed to field one presidential candidate for the 2027 election.
Among the political leaders at the summit were former vice president- Abubakar Atiku; former Kano state governor – Rabiu Kwankwaso; AAminu Tambuwal, Jerry Gana and Babangida Aliyu.
Others include Kabiru Turaki, Rafiu Aregbesola; Sen.David Mark; Pat Utomi, and and Peter Obi.
