2027: Why President Tinubu should be re-elected — Daniel

The representative of Ogun East Senatorial District, Senator Gbenga Daniel, has offered reasons why President Bola Ahmed Tinubu should be re-elected in 2027.

The former two-term governor of Ogun State made this known to select Editors ahead of his 70th birthday on April 6, 2026.

Daniel said Tinubu not only has the experience to run the country, he also possesses the needed courage.

He told the Editors at his Asoludero Court home in Sagamu, Ogun State: “A highly intelligent person.

“He knows the country well.

“In terms of the present economic circumstances, there is nobody who could have done it better or who would have tackled the challenges with courage.”

Daniel said Tinubu’s view on petroleum products subsidy aligns with those of economic experts who believe it should be removed.

He added: “Only Tinubu has the courage to implement it.

“Those profiting from subsidies in the past are fighting.

“The masses who are affected are also complaining.

“That is why the government is finding ways of ameliorating.

“States and local governments now receive more money from the Federation Account.

“Therefore, there should be no weak distribution of wealth.

“There is steady recovery and improvement.

“The indices are becoming right.”

Daniel also credited President Tinubu with several other innovations in governance.
