Easter 2026: FCC chairman urges unity, renewed commitment to national values

The Executive Chairman of the Federal Character Commission (FCC), Hon. Hulayat Motunrayo Omidiran, has extended warm Easter greetings to Nigerians world over, particularly Christians celebrating the season, calling for unity, mutual respect, and a renewed commitment to nation-building.

In her Easter 2026 message on Sunday, Hon. Omidiran described the season as a profound reminder of the enduring values of love, sacrifice, hope, and resilience, principles essential for Nigeria’s progress and stability.

“Easter symbolizes the triumph of hope over despair and love over division. These are values we must consciously reflect in our daily interactions as citizens, regardless of tribe, religion, or region,” the FCC boss said.

Hon. Omidiran urged Nigerians to embody these virtues by promoting peaceful coexistence, tolerance, and inclusiveness, emphasizing that the nation’s strength lies in its diversity.

Reaffirming the Commission’s mandate, she stressed that the FCC remains steadfast in promoting fairness, equity, and equal opportunities for all Nigerians in line with constitutional provisions.

She further called on leaders across government, the private sector, and civil society to uphold integrity, fairness, justice, and collaboration in strengthening national unity and fostering inclusive development.

“Let this season renew our hope and reinforce our shared responsibility to build a more inclusive, peaceful, and prosperous nation. Together, we can overcome our challenges and secure a brighter future for all,” she concluded.
