The Economic and Financial Crimes Commission (EFCC) has declared Halimat Adenike Tejuosho, a prominent women leader in the City Boys Movement, wanted in connection with an alleged fraud case.
According to a statement released on Monday via the Commission’s official X (formerly Twitter) account, Tejuosho is being sought over allegations of obtaining money under false pretences. The notice, signed by the EFCC’s Head of Media and Publicity, Dele Oyewale, indicated that the declaration is part of an ongoing investigation.
The anti-graft agency appealed to members of the public to provide any useful information that could lead to her arrest. It advised that such information be reported to any EFCC office nationwide, the nearest police station, or other relevant security agencies.
Tejuosho was recently appointed as the South-West Zonal Women Leader of the City Boys Movement, a role in which she was expected to spearhead women-focused programmes, including political mobilisation, civic engagement, and advocacy initiatives across the region.
Investigations are ongoing, and the Commission says further updates will be provided as the case develops.
