Power minister denies resignation, affirms commitment to Tinubu administration

The Minister of Power, Adebayo Adelabu, has dismissed media reports suggesting he has resigned from his position.
Reacting to the claims during an interview with Channels Television, Adelabu described the purported resignation letter in circulation as fake, stating that he has not written or submitted any such letter.
The minister, however, confirmed his interest in contesting the Oyo State governorship election in 2027.
“Of course, yes, I am very much in the race,” he said.
“But I will act at the appropriate time, and you will be duly informed, and it will be with the consent of Mr President.”
He emphasised that, for now, his focus remains on his current role.
“For now, I’m committed to my present assignment. It’s still about service, whether national or sub-national,” Mr Adelabu added.
