- Lebanese and Israeli delegations in Washington announced that they had tentatively agreed on a ceasefire with conditions. Moments after the announcement, Israeli strikes were reported in the southern regions of the country. Israel has killed more than 3,500 people in Lebanon, including women and children, since this new round of violence began on 2 March
- US President Donald Trump said negotiations with Iran are going “very well” and a deal to end the conflict “could happen over the weekend”. But, Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Araghchi said no progress has been made in talks with the United States, even though channels of communication remain open.
- Israel continues to pound Gaza daily, this time killing nine people overnight, including children. About 1,000 Palestinians have been killed by Israel since the so-called “ceasefire” in October 2025.
