A former employee of Ogun State Television (OGTV), Mrs. Kitan Oyesiku, popularly known as “Aunty Kitan,” and her security guard have been killed by unidentified gunmen in Ogun State.

The tragic incident reportedly occurred in the early hours of Sunday at Oyesiku’s residence in Agodo community, located along the Abeokuta–Siun–Sagamu Expressway.

According to reports, the bodies of the deceased were later deposited at the morgue of the State Hospital in Ijaiye, Abeokuta.

Although details surrounding the attack remain unclear, sources within the community revealed that the incident was discovered by members of Oyesiku’s church after she failed to attend a church service.

A source explained that concerned church members decided to visit her residence when she was noticeably absent from church activities. Upon arrival, they reportedly found the security guard dead and subsequently discovered that Oyesiku had also been killed by the assailants.

The source said the shocking discovery prompted the church members to alert residents of the community, leading to widespread concern and panic over the gruesome attack.

Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Ogun State Police Command, DSP Oluseyi Babaseyi, said the command was aware of the killings and would issue an official statement after preliminary investigations.

Mrs. Oyesiku was a respected figure in Ogun’s media industry, having served for several years with the state-owned television station before retiring from active service.
