GehGeh Criticises Peller’s Marriage to Jarvis, Says TikTok Star Is Too Young for Such Commitment

Social media personality and financial commentator Ojaigho Prosper, popularly known as GehGeh, has expressed concerns over the recent marriage ceremony between popular TikTok star Habeeb Hamzat, widely known as Peller, and his fiancée, Elizabeth Aminata, also known as Jarvis.

Peller recently announced that he had completed the traditional marriage rites by paying Jarvis’ bride price during a family introduction ceremony. Sharing highlights from the event on his Instagram page, the content creator proudly revealed that he had taken a major step in his relationship.

“Today, I proudly paid the bride price of the woman I love,” Peller wrote while posting videos from the ceremony.

However, GehGeh did not hide his reservations about the development. Reacting through a post on his X (formerly Twitter) account, he questioned whether financial success alone should determine a person’s readiness for marriage.

According to him, many people defending Peller’s decision have focused solely on the young influencer’s wealth while overlooking other important factors required for a successful marriage.

GehGeh argued that before entering into such a lifelong commitment, an individual should be mentally, emotionally, physically and spiritually prepared.

“Many people are saying he has money, so he should be allowed to marry. But the real question is whether he is mentally, physically, emotionally and spiritually ready for marriage. Everything is not about money,” he stated.

The social media personality further revealed that he had previously advised Peller against rushing into marriage but claimed the TikTok star chose not to listen.

Expressing disappointment, GehGeh suggested that Peller is still at a stage in life where personal growth and self-development should take priority.

“You are still growing as a child. Why get married now? I tried my best to advise you, but you refused to listen. Peller has gone ahead to marry Jarvis despite all my advice,” he said.

GehGeh also challenged those supporting the marriage because of Peller’s financial status, urging them to consider whether they would encourage a younger sibling or child to get married at the same age.

His comments have since sparked debate on social media, with users divided over whether age and maturity should outweigh financial stability when it comes to marriage.

The traditional introduction ceremony took place just weeks after Peller proposed to Jarvis at the La Palm Royal Beach Hotel in Accra, Ghana. Jarvis accepted the proposal, setting the stage for the couple’s latest milestone.

The development continues to attract reactions online, with supporters celebrating the couple’s love story while others share concerns similar to those raised by GehGeh regarding the responsibilities that come with marriage at a young age.
