Several Palestinians were injured on Sunday evening when an Israeli drone struck a house in the Al-Bureij Palestinian refugee camp in central Gaza.
Field and medical sources told The New Arab that the strike targeted the home of the Abu Zaher family in Block 9 of Al-Bureij camp.
Medical teams transported four injured people to Al-Awda Hospital in the Nuseirat refugee camp.
The sources said that the wounded included a child and a woman. The strike was carried out by an Israeli drone that fired a missile at the house.
Earlier, the Palestinian Ministry of Health in Gaza announced that one additional person had been killed and eight others injured during the previous 24 hours in Israeli attacks on the territory.
The ministry said that Israel had killed 930 people and injured 2,819 others since a theoretical “ceasefire” came into effect in Gaza on October 10, 2025.
It added that hospitals in Gaza had reported 33 fatalities and more than 130 injured people during the four days of the Muslim festival of Eid al-Adha, as a result of Israeli bombardment of the Gaza Strip.
The latest attacks have brought the total toll from Israel’s genocidal war on Gaza which began in October 2023, to 72,939 deaths and 172,927 injuries.
Palestinian factions in Gaza, including Hamas, have accused Israel of trying to delay implementation of the second phase of the ceasefire agreement in order to avoid fulfilling its obligations.
In a statement issued on Sunday, they said that Israel’s continuing attacks and its siege of Gaza, as well as its deliberate targeting of police personnel were “a deliberate attempt to push residents toward fleeing and keeping Gaza in a state of permanent crisis.”
