The Senior Pastor of Omega Fire Ministries, Omega Fire Ministries, Apostle Johnson Suleman, has said he will not comment further on Nigeria’s insecurity situation if the General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God, Redeemed Christian Church of God, Pastor Enoch Adeboye, continues to remain silent.
Suleman made the statement during a church service in Auchi, Edo State, where he also responded to criticism directed at Adeboye for not publicly protesting under President Bola Tinubu’s administration.
He dismissed claims that Adeboye had previously led protests during the administration of former President Goodluck Jonathan, insisting that what took place at the time was a prayer walk organised by the Pentecostal Fellowship of Nigeria rather than a protest.
According to him, religious leaders were only acting on PFN’s directive in response to hardship and insecurity at the time.
Suleman also questioned expectations that an 84-year-old cleric should be at the forefront of street protests over national issues.
He added, “There are people attacking Daddy G.O. Pastor Adeboye, saying he protested under Jonathan but is silent now under Tinubu. He did not protest; PFN asked pastors to embark on a prayer walk. Do you expect an 84-year-old man to go out and protest? If he is not speaking out, I will not speak out too.”
