Third Batch of Evacuated Nigerians Arrives in Lagos from South Africa

The third batch of Nigerians evacuated from South Africa has arrived in Lagos after weeks of anti-immigration protests and rising xenophobic tensions in the country.
The evacuees were transported aboard an Air Peace flight, which landed at the cargo terminal of the Murtala Muhammed International Airport, Ikeja, at approximately 10:54 a.m. on Tuesday.
The latest evacuation is part of the Federal Government’s efforts to bring home Nigerians affected by the unrest in South Africa, where anti-immigration demonstrations have heightened concerns over the safety of foreign nationals.
