Osun 2026: High voter turnout at Aregbesola’s polling unit

There was an impressive turnout of voters at Ifofin Unit 001, Ward 8, Ilesa East Local Government Area, on Saturday as the governorship poll held across the state.
Ifofin Unit 001, Ward 8, Ilesa, Osun State, is where the National Secretary of the African Democratic Congress, Rauf Aregbesola, is registered as a voter.
A voter, Adeniyi Taye, commended the electorate in the area for coming out to vote.
“We are many in the area. You can see from the large turnout here. Ex-Governor Rauf Aregbesola,” he said.
There are three polling booths located close to each other in the area, and voting commenced in all three except Ward 8, Unit 10, where voting was delayed over a lack of logistics.
Presiding Officer Elizabeth Adaramaja, during an interview with journalists, said chairs and tables were not provided for the INEC ad hoc staff members.
But reacting to the allegation, ADC party agent, Samson Grace, said chairs and tables had been provided.
“The issue has been resolved. Voting is going on now. We had a little delay, but we have resolved the situation,” she said.
Meanwhile, Aregbesola had not voted as of 11:15am when our correspondent left the area.
