The Osogbo Progressive Congress (OPU) has endorsed the governorship candidate of All Progressives Congress (APC), Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji (AMBO), for the August 15, 2026 governorship election in Osun State.
The endorsement took place at Freedom Park in Osogbo with various stakeholders in Osogbo declaring the resolve to vote for Oyebamiji.
The National President of OPU, Alhaji Kamoru Makinde, said indigenes of Osogbo have resolved to vote for Oyebamiji in the Saturday election.
The Chairman of OPU Home branch, Alhaji Akeem Woleola, also said Oyebamiji is the choice of the people of Osogbo for the governorship election on Saturday.
Responding, Oyebamiji expressed gratitude to the people of Osogbo for the endorsement and promised to ensure good governance when he becomes the governor.
