Osun 2026: Oyebamiji’s wife confident of husband’s victory

The wife of the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate in Osun, Dr Sekinah Oyebamiji, has expressed confidence that her husband, Bola Oyebamiji, will emerge victorious in the ongoing governorship election.
She spoke shortly after casting her ballot at Ward 9, Unit 003, AUD Primary School, Ikire, Irewole Local Government Area, on Saturday.
She commended the conduct of the election, describing the voter turnout as impressive and expressing optimism that her husband would win at the end of the exercise.
According to her, the electoral process at her polling unit has so far been peaceful and orderly.
She also commended officials of the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC) for their conduct, as well as security personnel deployed to the polling unit.
“The voters’ turnout is quite impressive. The INEC officials are conducting themselves professionally. There are police officers around,” she said.
Oyebamiji said the presence of security personnel had contributed to maintaining order during the voting process.
“I think the process is good so far. The expectation is that Asiwaju Munirudeen Bola Oyebamiji will carry the day,” she said.
